Toray UF Membrane Retrofit
Fluoro-Pure DELFIL Ultrafiltration is developed to replace TORAY UF Membrane TORAYFIL series as a more economical replacement solution, 100% compatible with existing UF system, PVDF membrane and PVC housing structure provides good resistance to chlorine and strong acids, which allows for better chemical cleaning to recover membrane flux. Outside-inside flow direction allows for high tolerance for feed water quality and supports air scour to enhance cleaning efficiency to recover the flux.
Fluoro-Pure DELFIL UF 0.01μm pore size can effectively remove contaminants such as particles, bacteria and virus as well as providing high flow rate performance, when used as pretreatment of reverse osmosis(RO), RO systems can be designed at higher flux, with fewer membranes and vessels leading to lower capital cost for the RO system.
Features

FAQ:
Q: Can UF membrane be used for drinking water treatment? What is its advantage compared with RO technology?
A: Yes UF is very good technology to produce clean and safe drinking water, it can effectively remove suspended solid, bacteria and virus while remain helpful minerals to human body but can be rejected by RO technology, it is more energy saving with much lower operation pressure, high design flux makes less consumption of membrane modules and less footprint.
Q: When UF membranes work as pretreatment of RO system, what is its advantage compared with cartridge filters?
A: Ultrafiltration membrane pore size ranges from 0.01μm to 0.1μm, it is much finer than cartridge filters which makes it be able to remove small bacteria and virus and produce much cleaner fluid for RO system and prolong membrane system service life.
UF+RO technology can also be used for wastewater and grey water reuse purpose.
